Dentistry is constantly evolving, and we know that we must evolve with it. That is why our dentists put forth such effort to keep up to date with the latest advances in their field. We use advanced techniques and technology with the goal of providing treatment that is efficient, effective, and comfortable. Below, you can learn more about some of the tools and methods we use to provide the best experience possible for our patients.

TMJ/TMD Treatment

Temporomandibular joint dysfunction, otherwise known as TMD, is a painful condition that affects the jaw and surrounding areas. Left untreated, it can cause difficulty chewing, headaches, neck pain, and many other symptoms. Our team is familiar with the intricate workings of the temporomandibular joint and is and qualified to diagnose TMD. We can also recommend a suitable treatment plan to relieve the stressed jaw and minimize, or perhaps even eliminate, your symptoms.

Intraoral Camera

An intraoral camera is a small, wand-like device that we use to get a clear view of the inside of a patient’s mouth, especially the areas that are difficult to see during a routine visual examination. The camera instantly displays images on a nearby monitor so we can quickly identify and diagnose a range of oral health issues, such as cavities and gum disease. It also serves as a visual aid that helps us educate our patients about their dental well-being.

Digital X-Rays

Digital X-rays allow us to see things that are invisible to the naked eye, such as developmental issues or decay beneath the gum line. We routinely take them so we can closely monitor our patients’ oral health. Because these X-rays are digital, they use much less radiation than their traditional counterparts. They are also much faster since there is no need to develop film; the images go straight to a nearby computer.
